life: bleak future

My week was drifting by smoothly until I was reminded about course selections. At that moment, a dagger just jabbed into the core of my happiness and instantly died. Course selections is also another word for, planning out your future. I happened to be one of those dazed and confused teenagers who don't know what to do with their lives. Well, I do, not really, it's vague image of my future. I promised myself, if all fails, I'll start a vintage store or an online store. Who knows, maybe I'll concur the damn world. I lied, I just have an expanded imagination. Oh, the the things you want don't come easily, and the things you don't want, comes so easily. Why you so cruel life?
Anyways, I've been dressing subconsciously boyish like. Whoops.

life: education

I had a lonely friday so I decided to play with my camera and tripod. Usually on lonely fridays, I would make something crafty or draw, but I didn't feel obligated to do any of those, so I went to plan B, which is watch a movie. I watched Pulp Fiction, and I died laughing all by myself. I have to admit, it was a pretty damn good movie. Oh school, yes school, I think for once in my high school life, it's not that bad. I like my courses and all my teachers are really good teachers. I also have art, which is a beautiful way to end my day everyday.

new in: vintage & printed tee

I got two awesome t-shirts from a vintage store called The Blackmarket, and no, it's not an actual black market, although I have to admit, when you first walk in, it's pretty sketchy. If you live in the Toronto area, it definitely won't hurt to drop by, everything is 10 bucks.
I managed to squeeze in a post before my lovely short break ends and resuming the cycle of the repetitive life of school, which slowly saws my mind in half until I flip a table on an annyoing suburban cookie cutter teen. Alright, enough ranting about school, I'm going to go pull an all nighter so I can be all pretty for tomorrow's first day of the new semester. Woohoo....~

Food: Korean BBQ-ish

Today, my friends and I celebrated another friend's belated birthday (reason why it's belated was because we were rehearsing for a performance). We performed one of her favourite song, Start, from her beloved Korean-Pop, SHINee. That was because this year we've decided not to purchase gifts and instead treated the person to dinner, but we felt that just dinner wasn't enough. Being the indecisive group of friends we are, it took us 3 hours to pick and we decided on Nak Won. We had free side dishes, ordered Jajangmyun (not the prettiest dish) and a large BBQ portion of pork bacon slices and marinated sirloin that came with soup and 2 bowls of rice (apparently it only serves 2 people, yet it fed all seven of us...)! I personally would not consider it a 'proper' Korean BBQ restaurant because the tables aren't installed with grills, but that's just me.

Highlight of the day was the perfectly cooked marinated sirloin beef we grilled, our journey back home by walking (buses were not in service after we finished dinner) and the birthday girl crying tears of joy from our embarrassing performance! Oh, did I say that we performed with the faces of each group member -- including hers?

I danced and sang the lines of Onew, the face with the red border. I learned all of the group members name!

Haha, Happy Birthday Jacqueline!

life: procrastination

I didn't even know what the word procrastination meant until high school, and ever since, I have been abusing the word, procrastination, to describe the position I am in. I've been listening to a lot of the old blues, jazz, and r&b. My friend really got me into this type of music and it's good to get out of the rock alternative hipster stuff. I'm planning to buy my friend a vinyl of Etta James, one of her favourite singer of all time who recently passed away. I could imagine us sitting there, as the vinyl spins those soulful lyrics of her, filling the room with her voice and beauty she created.
