life: bleak future

My week was drifting by smoothly until I was reminded about course selections. At that moment, a dagger just jabbed into the core of my happiness and instantly died. Course selections is also another word for, planning out your future. I happened to be one of those dazed and confused teenagers who don't know what to do with their lives. Well, I do, not really, it's vague image of my future. I promised myself, if all fails, I'll start a vintage store or an online store. Who knows, maybe I'll concur the damn world. I lied, I just have an expanded imagination. Oh, the the things you want don't come easily, and the things you don't want, comes so easily. Why you so cruel life?
Anyways, I've been dressing subconsciously boyish like. Whoops.

life: education

I had a lonely friday so I decided to play with my camera and tripod. Usually on lonely fridays, I would make something crafty or draw, but I didn't feel obligated to do any of those, so I went to plan B, which is watch a movie. I watched Pulp Fiction, and I died laughing all by myself. I have to admit, it was a pretty damn good movie. Oh school, yes school, I think for once in my high school life, it's not that bad. I like my courses and all my teachers are really good teachers. I also have art, which is a beautiful way to end my day everyday.

new in: vintage & printed tee

I got two awesome t-shirts from a vintage store called The Blackmarket, and no, it's not an actual black market, although I have to admit, when you first walk in, it's pretty sketchy. If you live in the Toronto area, it definitely won't hurt to drop by, everything is 10 bucks.
I managed to squeeze in a post before my lovely short break ends and resuming the cycle of the repetitive life of school, which slowly saws my mind in half until I flip a table on an annyoing suburban cookie cutter teen. Alright, enough ranting about school, I'm going to go pull an all nighter so I can be all pretty for tomorrow's first day of the new semester. Woohoo....~

Food: Korean BBQ-ish

Today, my friends and I celebrated another friend's belated birthday (reason why it's belated was because we were rehearsing for a performance). We performed one of her favourite song, Start, from her beloved Korean-Pop, SHINee. That was because this year we've decided not to purchase gifts and instead treated the person to dinner, but we felt that just dinner wasn't enough. Being the indecisive group of friends we are, it took us 3 hours to pick and we decided on Nak Won. We had free side dishes, ordered Jajangmyun (not the prettiest dish) and a large BBQ portion of pork bacon slices and marinated sirloin that came with soup and 2 bowls of rice (apparently it only serves 2 people, yet it fed all seven of us...)! I personally would not consider it a 'proper' Korean BBQ restaurant because the tables aren't installed with grills, but that's just me.

Highlight of the day was the perfectly cooked marinated sirloin beef we grilled, our journey back home by walking (buses were not in service after we finished dinner) and the birthday girl crying tears of joy from our embarrassing performance! Oh, did I say that we performed with the faces of each group member -- including hers?

I danced and sang the lines of Onew, the face with the red border. I learned all of the group members name!

Haha, Happy Birthday Jacqueline!

life: procrastination

I didn't even know what the word procrastination meant until high school, and ever since, I have been abusing the word, procrastination, to describe the position I am in. I've been listening to a lot of the old blues, jazz, and r&b. My friend really got me into this type of music and it's good to get out of the rock alternative hipster stuff. I'm planning to buy my friend a vinyl of Etta James, one of her favourite singer of all time who recently passed away. I could imagine us sitting there, as the vinyl spins those soulful lyrics of her, filling the room with her voice and beauty she created.

Make Someone Smile!

I have waited for years to cut my hair. And voila! About time. But now, I look like an apple. The hairdresser ended up cutting my hair much shorter than I expected... But oh well. My hair will eventually grow longer.

Tomorrow, I'm going to ship my hair to one of the organizations listed at the Canadian Cancer Society Website. So hair, I bid you farewell. Make another child happy!

life: yearning

Well, might as well make a post before all the exams and crap start to drop into my life. I have been having episodes of yearning for the summer days. Can't do anything in this Canadian cold weather. It's freezing cold, yet there's no snow. Anyway, this weekend was great. Let's just say, I've broken a lot of rules and people's hearts but it was all worth the pain. beach & kids the far lands ps. I got better at editing/cropping pictures..first post was complete shit.

Weekend Updates:

● Created a necklace inspired by this (Obviously not as good, but would buy it once I have money)

● Made a felt collar from this diy-tutorial

● Attempted to make a few giant tissue-paper pom pom balls but failed.

● I'm loving this wonderful giveaway

● Wasted a whole day looking for possible prom (PFFT, next year) dresses on ModCloth -- sadly, they were either too casual or too expensive

Hope your weekend is wonderful!

DIY: Photo to Fabric

Hello again friends. I came across a DIY from A Beautiful Mess that I've been eye-ing on for quite a while. I eventually ran to Michaels and picked up Liquitex just for this DIY.

I picked up all the materials needed and cut a picture from a magazine (Vintage & Victorian No. 144 - 2012, if you're wondering).

Voila! It's not bad if I do say so myself! I ended up making much more than I expected and I didn't even use half of the Liquitex Gel bottle, haha!

Though this was a great DIY - I have to say the most challenging part to it was rolling off the layer of magazine. My patience was horrible and I ended up rolling off some of the transfer off other photos I've done. Anyways, I'll try and have a DIY-project of my own up sometime next week. Farewell for now.

busy weekend

Hello wonderful people. My Saturday began with early morning thrifting with two of my friends. I have to say it wasn't the best thrifting experience (only scored 2 pieces)... but Wendys' fat food (which I intensely craved for weeks) made my day so that was fine.

After that, I came home finding out that we're going downtown to visit my relatives who are now living at my previous home.

My relatives are currently renovating their home -- my cousin was kind enough to let me sneak inside to see how it looks so far and... It's okay... I have to say it was sad knowing that what once was my home is now a small space with bare brick walls and naked wooden floors.

Eventually Sunday came around the corner. I managed to completed all the house chores that were suppose to be finished the day before, worked on a bit of homework, and oh! I went to Michaels to purchase some craft supplies. A bundle of felt, 2 balls of yarn (on sale of course!) and Liquitex Matte Gel. You're probably wondering what I'm going to do with the gel, but I'll show you in the next post. And that's about it. Ending off Christmas break with a cup of tea and regrets on not purchasing Mod Podge at Michaels.
Oh and let me just say could I get a "woot woot" for the blurry pictures?

adventures: california

A couple of weeks ago, I was forced on a plane by my parents to Las Vegas, a city where kids under the age of 21 are forced to sit, there on their ass, and wait until time passes by because they can't drink, gamble, purchase a hooker, or anything fun. Well, thanks to my sister's ability to argue, also known as nagging, she was able to nag us out of this city and into Los Angeles, a place where it's slightly better than Vegas.

And no pictures from Vegas because I hate Vegas that much... (ノಥ益ಥ)ノ ┻━┻

Prologue

Together

Hola kids. I am an anonymous blogger who is blogging with my partner in crime, who calls herself Ideologist. My speciality is in jewellery making, well in my mind, I believe that’s my speciality. Anyways, you will most likely see that my creations would be focused on jewellery. I also enjoy art, music, thrifting, movies, and food, oh god, fooooooooooooood. Oh, I also suffer from a condition of poor grammar, spelling, and sentence structure.Hullo there! Through my alias, Ideologist, I hope to share with you the adventures my companion (Chemist) and I experience in the world of arts & crafts, thrifting and food. I don't have much of a talent for anything except for eating, haha. On the other hand, I do love exploring and looking for treasures at the local thrift store.
